Student Scholars

Alexander Burns

Alex is a senior Economics and Management major at Northwood University. Alex is research and writing has contributed to In Defense of Capitalism, vol. 7, the Monthly McNair Center Economic Outlook, the 2015 Michigan Chamber Competitiveness Study and the forthcoming McNair Center Entrepreneurship Index.

Vincent Jacques-Geloso

Vincent completed his PhD in August 2016 in Economic History at the London School of Economics. Vincent is one of the research scholars working on a project examining income inequality in the United States in the early 20th Century.

Philip Schlosser

Philip graduated from Northwood University in the spring of 2016 with a degree in Economics. He was also a summer fellow at the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) and is enrolled in the Master's program in Economics at George Mason University starting in the Fall of 2016. Phil has contributed to the research and writing for the McNair Center's In Defense of Capitalism, vol. 7, as well as, the forthcoming Income and Equality study.

Ashley Wright

Ashley is a 2015 graduate of Hillsdale College where she earned her Bachelor degree in Economics with highest honors. She earned her Master degree in Economics at Oxford University in Oxford, England in the spring of 2016. Ashley will be researching and writing op-eds and chapters for the 8th edition of In Defense of Capitalism while continuing her research and studies at Oxford University.
